Mongolia, Ulaanbataar here I come!

The Bhuddist influence

We just landed a couple of days ago and we spent our free days to wander around Ulaanbataar where 90% of the population is Buddhist, so a visit to the Gandantegchinlen Monastery monastery was a must.

Gandantegchinlen Monastery

This is the largest monastery in Mongolia and a splendid architecture with a slight Chinese influence. Paying the price to photograph the interiors is worth spending. Inside lies an impressive 10+ meter golden statue of a majestic Bottisathva. Music, morning prayers, monks chanting and offerings

The splendid statue of Migjid Janraisig inside the monastery.
